1. Circularity
Recover: collect, sort, recycle and reuse.
Circularity is a key objective when recycling industrial and urban waste. This is our team’s day-to-day task.
Starting with the collection and logistics service at the point of origin of the waste and the automated selection of 14 different fractions of materials, to the subsequent recovery and processing for reuse, therefore reintroducing them into the productive circle.
Our operations include:
- Automated segregation of waste into more than 14 fractions.
- Construction waste recovery.
- Organic fraction composting and biodigestion.
- Special waste recovery.
The volume of materials treated in all our plants includes rubble, plastics, paper and cardboard, wood, scrap metal and organic matter.
More specifically, the following segregation percentages are obtained through industrial and commercial waste processing:
By processing and recovering construction waste in our specialised plant, we obtain recycled aggregates that are recoverable in construction tasks.

2. Carbon footprint
Everest Corporation is a group firmly committed to the environment, not just through our operations but also because of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to protecting the planet.
In recent years, we have installed a photovoltaic solar plant that helps us reduce energy consumption by up to 25% at the main waste treatment centre. This measure has generated around 550 GWh, which is equivalent to a saving in emissions of more than 100 tonnes of CO2 per year, and an average annual consumption of a population of 500 inhabitants.
Furthermore, we have optimised our waste collection routes, which has enabled us to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, by means of an advanced planning algorithm that has reduced our carbon footprint in all activities, reducing our fuel consumption by approximately 10%, which is equivalent to a saving of 900 tonnes in CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, by treating and processing non-hazardous waste, we generate emission-neutral Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF), which are used in energy generation to replace traditional fossil fuels in cement production.
By using this fuel, our customers achieve savings of more than 55,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, compared to the emissions produced by the equivalent consumption of fossil fuels such as coke.
We are also committed to preserving the environment by sustaining forests (more than 250 ha), which represent a CO2 absorption of more than 250 ha -> approx. 2,100 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Our certificates
Our company also plays an important role in quality and environmental control and improvement, which is endorsed by the ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications of our operations, and by the upcoming certification in Energy Efficiency (ISO 50001).
4. Safety
Everest Corporation has developed and reached a consensus with the staff on the protocol necessary to guarantee the health and safety of all our employees. This is achieved through suitable processes in workplaces and specific training courses, and by spending increasingly more money on the necessary Prevention and Safety Equipment, as well as making a significant annual investment in training.
